MUMBAI is trying to put its Terrible Tuesday behind. But for the scores of lives shattered, orphaned and scarred forever, it’s not going to be easy.
To help the families of the victims as they struggle to pick up the pieces, the Express My Mumbai Trust will do more than collect contributions from readers like you. Working with individuals, NGOs and the government, it will track down victims of terrorism, match those who want to help with those who need help. Through the pages of The Indian Express, we will keep you updated on what difference your contribution has made.
The Trust was set up after the overwhelming response of our readers to a report on the Yadav orphans, four girls and their little brother, whose parents were killed on Mumbai’s Black Monday three years ago at the Gateway of India. The Yadav children are now back in school, their lives on track.
There are many more who need you. |
